I read where California does not allow school children to be classified as male or female because they need to have the freedom to choose without discrimination! Let's take it all the way and not force people to be classified as humans. That way, I will not have to pay taxes, etc...

Well, you see.... only two living creatures from the same species can procreate, so if you wanna do so better "choose" to be human like the rest of us!

What they are doing is stupid, because people have different genders (male, female) which they physically are. Even if a person has surgery to alter their gender, then they still are whatever gender they've altered themselves into being. Their sexual orientation (heterosexual, homosexual, bi-sexual) is something that they choose, however, not their gender. I don't care if people are going to say that a person is born with a certain sexual orientation because a person still gets to choose whether or not they follow it.
If you could choose not to be classified as a human, then you wouldn't have any human rights, either.
Edit: Oh, and I really did mean to call them stupid because that is the word that applies. Stupid is when you know better but do it anyway, ignorant is when you don't know any better. They know better.

Completely different.
I'm male. I know this because I have a certain attachment which protrudes from my groin.
However, I'm a girl. Figure that one out.
On the other hand, being human is something you're stuck with. Your mind can be female in a male's body, but you cannot have a non-human mind in a human body.
See? Completely different.
