I was 7 years old and heard it on the little pink single speaker radio I never turned off. I remember asking my mom why was he so important, and as soon as the old beatle songs started playing I knew exactly who he was.

I'm 32 now but I remember my parents going nuts over the whole ordeal and my mom was crying, and she was pregnant with my sister. i was only six, but I remember. RIP John Lennon
