Unfortunately now it's too late to think of giving the land to only one nation...Israel was created without caring that on that land Arabs were living for centuries...As I remember one of the reason the British gave Palestine to Jews was that anyway the Arabs have enough lands,so a country less wouldn't be such a big loss for them...
Creating Israel was not the right solution for the Jews, nor for the Palestinians...it only caused many more problems...
It was wrong to created Israel there,as it would be wrong to create it in any other place...
But now, since it exist and no one can do anything about it,we have to think of a solution that would be favorable for both Palestine and Israel...The solution exists, but Israel refuses to apply it.Israel refuses to withdraw to the borders it had before 1967 and refuses to allow Palestinians to have their own state...

Your question is a good one, and you've received some really good answers. I personally can't see an end to this problem either way. Many of the answerees said; It was given the Israeli's and the Jews were there first anyway. But, I can't see this as being a 'nod' to Israel to do whatever they want. If the rest of the world says anything against Israel, we are labelled anti-semetic. We seem to be afraid of them, or afraid of offending them. I'm sorry for what Hitler did to them, but that doesn't give them the right to displace whole peoples ie; Palestinians. Britian caused this problem, how dare they decide where a 'scattered' race of peoples - the Jews, should be 'put' at the expense of another race of peoples; whether their name is Palestinian or not. The Jews were; German, Polish, Hungarian, Austrian, Dutch and many more, they were not Israeli's. OK, I know the Jewish faith isn't like say, Christianity, and that they believe they descend genetically as Jewish, but come on, a lot of peoples from years back, chose to be Jewish, they weren't born to it. They had no more claim to Jerusalem/Israel, as: German, Polish, Hungarian, Austrian, Dutch etc than the un named Arabs.
I think Israel should be happy and grateful they were given a land that hadn't belonged to them for centuries, and be more gracious to the Palestinians.

The land belongs to Israel. People need to understand that there is NO SUCH THING AS A "PALESTIAN" and there never has been. I do not say this out of any particular malice towards the Arabs who occupy too much of the Land of Israel but simply as a matter of fact. There has NEVER been a "Palestinian" people with their own language and culture, etc. They are Arabs who were forced out of their own countries and told that if they would live or occupy Israel for long enough to claim it away from the Jews, who were beginning to make Ali ah(means come home to Israel) that they could come back to their own lands and have their home and jobs back. They lied and would not allow those ppl back in. Thus the world has these ppl stuck where they do not belong. They did not EVEN began calling themselves "Palestinians" until the late 70's. There have ALWAYS been MORE JEWS than Arabs in Jerusalem, and mohammad NEVER even set foot there, yet now we have all these bleeding hearts crying to give these ppl HALF of Jerusalem as their capital!!! There is nothing to stop Muslims from making the same claims to this country ya know. I know there are a lot of Jew haters on here, oh well. I am not Jewish myself but right is right and wrong is wrong. (sorry I took up so much space)

WHO HAD PALESTINE UNDER CONTROL BEFORE THE ISRAEL'S?
WHEN DID ISRAEL CAME ON ?
THE UNITED KINGDOM HAD PALESTINE UNDER CONTROL. THE UK GOT THE ISRAEL PEOPLE AND GANGS BEFORE THEY LEFT. UK PROVIDED THEM WITH A weapons SO THEY FIGHT AGAINST THE PALESINES . MORE PEOPLE STARTED TO COME TO PALESTINE FROM ALL OVER EURO specially (GERMANY)
SO WHEN THE UK LEFT THE LEFT THE JEWS behind THEM. (fully with weapons).
JEWS WERE STRONGER THEN THE PALESTINE AND THEY KILLED THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF PALESTINIANS
AND BECAUSE OF EUROPE AND AMERICANS HELP THEY GOT PALESTINE UNDER CONTROL.
WHAT THE PALESTINES WANT NOW IS TO GET LANDS BACK BUT THEY CANT because EVERY ONE IS AGAINST THEM, AND BY NOW ISRAEL IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST COUNTRY'S IN THE WORLD.
WHEN PALESTINES GO TO THE JEWS LANDS (which is for the Jews ) THEY TRY TO KILL JEWS AD THE JEWS kills EVERY DAY AT LEAST 5 OR MORE.
where IS THE HUMAN RIGHTS ?
WHAT A BADLY POVERTY IN GAZA THAT'S ALL THE EUROPEANS AMERICANS AND SOME ARABIAN COUNTRY'S WHICH WOULD NOT ALLOW ANY ON TO SEND ANY MONEY OR ANY THING.
I WANT YOUS TO TELL ME WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO STAY IN THERE LANDS = THE JEWS OR THE PALESTINES WHO ARE DIE EVERY DAY OF THE JEWS (IF YOU SAY THE JEWS TELL ME WHY).

i think of that they the two might desire to have there very own independant states. Israel do continuously strengthen there territory which in basic terms isn't precise. And in all fairness they have been placed there with the help of the brits after ww2 so as that they shouldn carry declare to any of the land yet there there now so bypass away be, I additionally think of that something stinks with the way u . s . of america money Israel. Israeli government are very set off happy, particular they have killed human beings on an american war deliver who have been crusing in or around there waters some a protracted time in the past.

Since the British were kind enough to give a chunk of Palestine to the Jews, I think it would only be fair to give England to the Palestinians.

Israel, without a doubt. The only peace-loving nation in the Middle East. The Jews have been persecuted since the beginning of time. It's high-time they rightfully deserve the Promised Land, as it was promised to them by a guy that's smarter than all the rest of us combined.

Who first occupied what is today Palestine....?
Abraham, the Father of the Jews and a figure revered by Islam, led a band of Hebrews from Mesopotamia and began the conquest of Canaan in 1741 B.C.—that's 3743 years ago. Those first Israelites were joined in about 1290 B.C. by the Jewish slaves led out of Egypt by Moses.

Why can't they just live together and get along, we do in my neighborhood, doesn't bother me that my bakery is run by a Jew, the lady that checks me out at the grocery stores is black, no one says anything that my skin is brown. if I can't understand their language we all seem to work it out with sign language or laughter, and we all don't care who owns what, we pay taxes and we all benefit from it, most important we are adults...but we have fun together like children..

So when you think of Jews, especially as related to Israel, keep in mind that there is a great difference between Sephardic and Ashkenazi Jews. They are not one united people. They are divided socially, politically and especially racially.
