Life is whispering to me a name of someone special to me who is a zillion miles away.....and I'm smiling upon hearing her name..........
So true: Life is the one teacher that never fails us. Your statement is beautiful.
Life has taught me many valuable lessons but the biggest one is to never take anyone or anything for granted. I've learned to always take every opportunity to grow and expand as a person and never miss an opportunity to laugh and have fun!
The nature of life is change...n things can change on a turn of a dime....really realizing that the people we love and the things we enjoy could suddenly not be there has taught me to appreciate everything....and everything is always here and now:
.....finally seeing the tree I may pass by everyday and may not even notice .....sunsets and sunrises....laughing with friends....this very breath....opening up to love....the beautiful colors of nature.....birds singing....it's all so precious and should never be taken for granted.
Even when facing hardships there are things to be appreciative for. It's being grateful for those little things that pulled me through some tough times this past year and a half. And hardships can melt away much emotional armoring. When taken in and accepted, hardships help to make a person more compassionate to others; with the realization that we all suffer and that pain connects us.
Life is made up of moments, so when I can I always try to live in the moment and enjoy it to the fullest.
Life is the ultimate teacher.
Another great question, lady:))

Life has taught me to think on my own. Not be a 'rebel', mind you, but not to be so small-minded as to conform to the status quo. Jokingly speaking, people are stupid. They really are. We get hung up on democrats and republicans when it's all full of crap. The issues in the limelight are not issues that truly HELP mankind but we use these dumb issues to leverage votes. It's drilled from a very young age that higher education is the 'key'. Key to what? SOME people of faith carry religion with them everywhere they go - spout off bible quotes and present an image that they're holier than thou. Yet, in secret they're some of the meanest, disgusting people in existance. Don't believe everything you hear or read. Live life as best you can and truly ACT like a good person, don't just quote the stuff. Don't take yourself too serious. I've learned to be very humble. Tragedy will also remind you of the things that are truly important - the best things in life really ARE free. But we're too caught up in bling, BMW's, Playstations, and Wii. We work too hard and don't play enough. We don't live enough. Live as much as you can. Be humble, be respectful, and always remember that in the grand scheme of things none of this really matters. "Don't sweat the small stuff", as it's been said before. Schools and parents can't tell you everything, so just enjoy the lessons that life does teach. The beauty of it is that you never stop learning.

"Life is only 10% of the circumstances and 90% of our attitude."
--This is my motto. This is the summary of all that life has taught me..
Life has taught me a lot of things.. and it requires proper (positive thinking) attitude to really learn and see the lessons life teaches us. Two different persons in the same predicament will think and act differently. The one with the right attitude will think positive and/or pray. He/She will not be easily depressed, instead, he/she will look for solutions to the problem and if he/she cant find it, the next step would be to leave it to God. However, the one with the wrong or negative attitude could not see the light in a dark tunnel and seldom to they realize that it's because tey choose not to see it. They will be depressed and often times, they ruin their life--directly or indirectly.
The most painful of all that I have have learn is that I should give up the things I want and love the most or even my precious dreams to do what's right...
But I think, 70% of the people in this world dont know that..
20% knows it but wont do it..
and only 10% of the people really understand it and do it..
Late in my high school years, I met Christ.. Prior to that, my life is a total mess and often times, I wanted to commit suicide.. But my life changed whaen I accepted Him as my personal Saviour and Lord..
I want everyone to know that He loves us and cares for us..(1 Peter 5:7)
He sacrificed His son to die for us so we could have eternal life and to be able to live our lives on earth to the fullest.. (John 3:16) (1 John 5:11ff)

Life is not a guarantee. People can die in and instant.
I was 19 and my Father and I had an argument (it was STUPID) Well he went in for surgery and he died from a blood clot the next day.
I never got to tell him that I loved him or many other things. He never met my Husband or his Grandchildren.
Life is precious and NEVER EVER take it for granted.

well, life has always only shown me things, not really taught me anything valuable. life puts a situation in front of me, and i make the decisions. if i make the wrong one, i get screwed, and i try not to repeat that mistake again. that is what i learn from my own mistake. life does not really teach anything. life is existing, we should just know how to live it

I have learned that not everybody is nice. At work some colleague comes across as nice person, but watch out...there is a game in progress...where emotional intelligence is essential to survive in that environnment. I have learned to tell bosses and colleagues what they want to hear, play the game, as I say. I have learned to build alliances and back off from friendships with bosses as it can open a big can of worm. I have learned that at work, i am only a number and at times, a scape goat.

Cherish what you have like it's the last one on earth.
Never trust concieted boys, they secretly don't have soft sides.
No matter what happens always always take good care of yourself, because alot of the time nobody else can or will.
And finally the key to contentment is by accepting the things that you can't change and fighting to change problems you can fix.

That you can't avoid or go around the problems in life...they will only come back to you and demand to be addressed. The only way to successfully progress through life is to address your problems head-on and take responsibility for solving them.
God helps those who help themselves.
God bless.

I worked with with a group of 8 year olds who were crazy but in a good way. They had all lost loved ones, a couple in brutal ways that they had witnessed. One of them had tried to kill himself when he was just 4. After working with them I realized that you can't let the bad things that happen keep you down, you've got to keep on going.

First off
I learned this lesson when i went to donovan prison (prison close to where i live) as apart of a program called Convicts Reaching Out to People or C.R.O.P.
as part of that program we got to sit and tolk to convicts and as we spoke we learned storys of how they got there and how much they regretted their choices.
they said that your choices influence every thing no matter how small it is, so make good ones.
and that is my eye opening lesson
