whay is it that rotten meat smells bad, but exhausts fumes smell good?

They are both harmful. I believe I know the answer, but I wanted to see if anyone else thought as I did.

Most people like the smell of car exhaust fumes. Lets put it this way, the fumes are much less objectionable than rotten meat!

The bad smell of rotten meat and poopy-plops is nature's way of telling you not to eat them. It's the result of thousands of years of evolution. But exhaust fumes haven't been around long enough for evolution to have developed an aversion.

Hi. Rotten meat does not smell bad to those creatures that depend on scavenging for survival. And I've never seen a vulture flying down for a refreshing whiff of car exhaust. But then I'm not a vulture, so what do I know?

umm, you may wanna get that whole exaust fume thing checked out, youve been breathing them in too much, and its screwded with your brain. and not everything thats harmfull smells bad. and many things that are good for you, like pills, stink.

Both smell bad. Your nose is out of whack. Go to a nose doctor to have it adjusted.
