Dark Horizons reports that the success of "Smallville" may have paved the way for a spin-off featuring fellow DC Comics mainstays "Justice League." It was announced a while back that several guest star heroes (The Flash, Aquaman, Cyborg, the Green Arrow) will all be appearing in an upcoming episode of "Smallville" this season. Now, Comics Continuum reports that the group will also be appearing in a second episode later in the season and insists that episode will "act as a launching pad for a possible series." "Smallville" producer Al Gough has denied that any "League" spin-off is in the works though. Anybody ever see that bootleg "Justice League" pilot from a while back with David Ogden Stiers as the Martian Manhunter? Shudder... what do you all think?

Could be cool. On a similar note i wouldn't mind seeing a show with Batman or Wonder Woman with a Smallville type premise following young Bruce around the world or Diana on Paradise Island, second thought that could end up being like another Xena.

Interesting Idea, I'd watch it.

But, considering how "Birds of Prey" fared in the ratings and the Aquaman series never made it past the pilot. I think Smallville is a case of 'Lightning in a bottle'.

I think that another 'hero in training' might work, but it would require the right hero, in a post-Smallville schedule.

it would be good but only if done right. Charles Emerson Winchester as the Martian Manhunter was a definite no no.

However, I bet they would have a hard time with including Batman or Wonder Woman if both those characters are licensed with different studios.

it will be great to see WonderWoman in that tight sexy outfit, and the other girl , but to be honest i like Marvel better than DC comics, cuz Superman and Batman are boring
