get gunky water based gel that has dried out of my keyboard? I have used alcohol and qtips but it keeps coming back. Would it be better to take my keyboard apart or just go buy another?

The keyboard is already a lost cause. Buy a new one. And make sure you always properly dispose of your computer parts. They contain stuff that is very hazardous and not even actually allowed in a landfill.

If it's a desktop keyboard, just pop the keys off and get the gunk out. Just make sure you know where all the keys go.
