My computer keeps becoming unresponsive. I can open another browser and work on that one, but even that sometimes doesn't help. I also restart the computer if I think that will do the trick. The computer I use doesn't have a high processer speed and a good amount of memory. It only has 36 processes running. Any help would be appreciated.

what type of internet connection do you have and how are you connected? If you're wireless, your response time may be due to interference from other sources, also, if you're on dsl, make sure all your filters are in place.

Try running a defrag, running a spyware and antivirus program, and possibly a registry scanner. It sounds like it just needs some maintenance. If those things don't help, sometimes reinstalling windows will help.

in case you relatively have not got self assurance that's application, then it must be hardware. the 1st probable reason for a working laptop or laptop freezing for no reason on a similar time as in use is overheating subject concerns. the 1st element i could verify is the video card. If it has a fan verify to work out if the fan is spinning slowly, or no longer spinning in any respect. an excellent style of the time freezing is with the help of overheating or wiped out hardware (assuming it is not application.) If all else fails, lower back up your documents and do a reformat. If the subject stops, then you comprehend it became into application :)

go to programs then accessories. Look for system tools and then click on disc clean up. after that is done go back to the same place but this time click on defrag. after that see how its doing. It never hurts to run a virus check.
