what do you prefer? glasses or contacts? why?

i kinda want go get contacts but im afraid that im gonna look weird without my glasses. should i get contacts or not? help?!

Try out contacts; you might like them. I use both glasses and contacts. I like my contacts for convenience--when I go to the gym or when I need to use my sunglasses. But I like glasses too. Glasses are a great way of showing off personality and style, and I definitely disagree with anyone who still believes in the old phrase that "guys don't make passes at girls who wear glasses."

Check with your optometrist and maybe you can get a trial pair to see if you'll like them, before you invest in a 6-month or year-long supply. If you have super-sensitive eyes or are squeamish about touching your eyes, they might not be right for you. I have the monthly disposable kind, and my eyes are ok with them, even though my eyes are kind of sensitive. (I can only wear them for about 8 hours at a time before my eyes start to feel dry and they feel like they're going to pop out.)

I also would recommend against getting colored contacts for your first pair, b/c depending on the size of your iris, the color can get in the way, and you'll always be seeing whatever color the contact is in your peripheral vision.

Personally, I prefer glasses, but I am not one of those people who has multiple pairs and changes them with my outfit, or really cares what other people think of them. For me, glasses are a matter of seeing, plain and simple, nothing else to it. I don't care what they look like, how they feel, as long as I can see, and they do not cause me any headaches.

I would never wear contact lenses, because I would not want to stick anything in my eye. I know what surfaces I touch everyday, at home and away from home, and even washing your hands cannot remove all bacteria from your hands. Also, I cringe when I get eye drops put in my eye, I cannot imagine ever deliberately sticking anything in my eye, especially a foreign man made substance. There is such a high risk of bacteria.

I have had contacts for 9 years. I absolutely love them! I hated wearing glasses...I never was able to find ones to flatter my face.

There are many advantages to contacts over glasses, but my favorite one is not having to wear glasses under my lab goggles in chemistry. I also don't have to worry about my glasses fogging up when I come in from the cold!

i say go get contacts. i don't were glasses, but contacts can be great for you and convenient if your careful when you use them. besides you can always take them out and wear your glasses when you want to. my friend wears glasses and usually only wears contacts in the ring or for an occasion.

i don't like glasses. when i found out i needed them i knew contact were better for me. 1. i don't like wearing glasses. they bother me. i have never gotten used to wearing them. plus u cannot lay down with ur head on a pillow and watch t.v like that, which i have tried and failed to do. second i dance so turning or leaping with glasses would be rather hard. i also like wearing make-up, i love having my eyelashes curled and looking pretty. i feel it opens up my small eyes with with glasses no one can see them or appreciate the color on my lids!!! so CONTACTS rule, in my opinion. it all just depends on the person!

I think that you should but contacts so you see how you feel and look in them. But, keep your glasses because, you could run late one day!

Glasses. Can't bring myself around to intentionally sticking something in my eye. Besides, I wouldn't be able to hear a thing without my glasses!

well...glasses are sometimes inconvenient, but they come in many shapes, colors, and sizes. contacts are uncomfortable for some people and it gets frustrating when you lose them, but they are easy to use and all the disadvantages of glasses are gone. basically...i prefer contacts!!!

Well get both-I had glasses and got contacts....I ♥ them!! They are so easy to wear*Plus I play basketball, volleyball, and softball....So having contacts is much easier....especially while playing sports....or well anytime-
Just give them a try...you never know!!
