I recently purchased a Dell computer that has an integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE video card in it. Although the monitor is capable and came with a DVI connection, the video card itself does not have DVI capabilities. I use my computer mainly for gaming and video/TV viewing. When I asked a tech expert they suggested that upgrading wouldn't do too much of a difference for me, however, I have an open mind. What would you recommend? Keep the video card? Or if not, which video card would you recommend to suit my needs?

If you monitor also has an analog connector you can use that instead if you want to keep the video card.To take advantage of the new games you should upgrade your Nvidia to the GeForce 7xxx series, or Geforce 8xxx if you want the best. The Nvidia Geforce 6150 LE is just too weak.

I have a GeCube RADEON X1300 video card that has both DVI and analog. I have tired both modes with a variety of video games, but nothing you would call high end. What I've seen is that after you fine tune the adjustments for either mode, the pictures look a little different, but overall the quality is the same. If you are satisfied with the video quality you have now, there's probably no point in changing. For one thing older motherboards don't usually have a PCI express slot, and AGP cards will disappear in a few years.

If you do decide to change I don't know what card is best , but any good card should support windows VISTA, and have all of the latest rendering, shading, and 3-d enhancements.

So your pc has motherboard integrated pictures in straightforward terms, meaning the pictures chip is resting on the certainly motherboard with a warmth sink above it (those are high quality for workplace programmes, the internet etc yet truly fall whilst it comprises any variety of three-d rendering) From the form style of your pc i won't see the motherboard, so i won't make a judgement on what pictures playing cards you may have the skill to enhance to. many times pictures playing cards use PCIe X16 slots, which you would be able to genuinely locate on the internet, with this you may then determine what slots your motherboard has and settle on on a pictures card for that reason. yet then you truly might desire to evaluate even in the experience that your skill grant unit is able to dealing with such hardware and in the experience that your pc case actual has sufficient room to homestead a card, yet that relies upon on what card you purchase interior the tip.
