plugged into the right jacks and when i plug them in vise virsa they dont work

You have your microphone plugged into your speaker port.

You mic is plugged in to your audio out jack. Plug speakers in there and plug your mic in the 'Mic In' jack.

either your sound ports are mismarked, or your sound card is defective.
If it comes out your mic, plugging the speakers in there should also work.
