The report stated that members knew of questionable communications from Foley,if they did not protect children left in their charge, how is it possible that they are not responsible.

Dear rabid; your analogy is faulty, If I was put in charge of that homeless person I would be responsible. The Congress was put in charge of the pages.

I don't know why - I think what Foley did was inexcusable, but I would like to know why the so-called "conservative" media hailed former Congressman Gerry Studds, a Democrat, for being "the first openly gay congressman" when the only reason he "came out" was because he got busted for having sex with an underage (male) page.
It appears there is a pretty big problem with pages in DC, and neither party is doing anything about it.

The truth is that Foley contacted young men that were of the age of consent. While it is repulsive to most of us, it's similar to these female teachers sleeping with their students. If they sleep with them after they are age 16, they can claim it was mutual. Ethically, they could still be fired for sleeping with a student, however.
If I remember correctly Foley only emailed former pages, and never actually slept with any of them.
I still believe that if Foley was a Democrat, his actions would not only have been accepted, they would have been espoused as holesome and wonderful.

1 - Whatever they say you know it's a lie, right?
2 - So, even if they said that rules had been violated, THAT would have been a lie, right?

If a person is dying on the sidewalk in New York City and you just walk past, are you responsible? If you can prevent something from happening, are you responsible when it does happen? Legally, that has generally been answered with "no". Morally, I leave that to your own judgement.

2. They could care less as long as they are keeping the top dogs out of trouble and looking good.

Seriously, tell me are you surprised? You know those neocons would have this conclusion. Remember, they can approve a war, kill innocents everyday, but still didn`t violate any laws, because for them TRUTH and self-respect is not a law.
