HERE FOLLOWS SOME PSYCHO-METAPHYSICS.
If you are not hot for philosophy, best just to skip it.
The Aneristic Principle is that of APPARENT ORDER; the Eristic Principle is that of APPARENT DISORDER. Both order and disorder are man made concepts and are artificial divisions of PURE CHAOS, which is a level deeper that is the level of distinction making.
With our concept making apparatus called "mind" we look at reality through the ideas-about-reality which our cultures give us. The ideas-about- reality are mistakenly labeled "reality" and unenlightened people are forever perplexed by the fact that other people, especially other cultures, see "reality" differently. It is only the ideas-about-reality which differ. Real (capital-T True) reality is a level deeper that is the level of concept.
We look at the world through windows on which have been drawn grids (concepts). Different philosophies use different grids.
A culture is a group of people with rather similar grids. Through a window we view chaos, and relate it to the points on our grid, and thereby understand it. The ORDER is in the GRID. That is the Aneristic Principle.
Western philosophy is traditionally concerned with contrasting one grid with another grid, and amending grids in hopes of finding a perfect one that will account for all reality and will, hence, (say unenlightened westerners) be True. This is illusory; it is what we Erisians call the ANERISTIC ILLUSION. Some grids can be more useful than others, some more beautiful than others, some more pleasant than others, etc., but none can be more True than any other.
DISORDER is simply unrelated information viewed through some particular grid. But, like "relation", no-relation is a concept. Male, like female, is an idea about sex. To say that male-ness is "absence of female-ness", or vice versa, is a matter of definition and metaphysically arbitrary. The artificial concept of no-relation is the ERISTIC PRINCIPLE.
The belief that "order is true" and disorder is false or somehow wrong, is the Aneristic Illusion. To say the same of disorder, is the ERISTIC ILLUSION.
The point is that (little-t) truth is a matter of definition relative to the grid one is using at the moment, and that (capital-T) Truth, metaphysical reality, is irrelevant to grids entirely. Pick a grid, and through it some chaos appears ordered and some appears disordered. Pick another grid, and the same chaos will appear differently ordered and disordered.
Reality is the original Rorschach.

In some ways truth doesn't exist because people believe all different things about whatever so no one is really right I guess. In a literal sense, truth is the correct thing, anything that has been proven to be correct and right is true.

One fixed Truth... that we may create any truth we want being His Image and Likeness...God does the same with no condition and limitations. For us there is One condition, Truth must be objective in its manifestations for you, then it is Truth, otherwise it is questionable....There is a puzzle involved ...What is objective to you cannot be objective to others, they are question you all the time right?...Then follow your own Truth, create and try not to damage people by proving them yours....They are creating out of their Truth too...for them selves....Surprisingly all of that creations will fit one into another perfectly, if we are not worry and concern with Truth of "others"...Our judgments which manifest as worries and concerns may put for instance, the truth of political idiots over those who defined Truth in Peace. That is a dissonance which we all suffering...Not harmony at all...There is many examples you can find using formula mentioned above. Most powerful Truth is a Truth of individual...If that Truth shared in a crowd it make a crowd a primitive idiot which need a Sheppard...Ah how nice for those who employed that knowledge...Have proudly Your Own Truth...and if that Truth works for you, you probably will find happiness. Once you discover that Truth is that which you create then you will go higher, with new questions in stock,You'll realize that Truth is only creative tool then what is behind of it? You'll be happy to discover that behind of your Truth another , much bigger YOU With realization of this question, Truth will be transformed into another formula Truth is YOU and You are Truth...no separation...So Truth is not fixed but changing, as you do...and so on..................................................

Read the bible starting with John, then Matthew through the Revelation. Truth is mentioned a lot. I remember a verse I applied in my life and I can hint a truth in what was said.

Truth is definitely not what you believe, as truth must be verifiable to be trustworthy. If that is not so, then any belief is as valid and true as any other belief. And as all beliefs contradict each other, to say that what you believe is truth is to say that truth is nonsense.
If truth is to not be nonsense, it must be verifiable.
If truth can be verified it is protected from claims to its opposite. If truth can be verified, its opposite can be demonstrated to be false.
Since beliefs cannot be verified, you cannot protect beliefs from their opposites without resorting to threats of one type or another. That is why religious beliefs never produce peace, because they depend, ultimately, upon threats to protect them from other beliefs. Beliefs are the source of almost every evil that humans have inflicted on other humans, the environment, and animals.
It is absolutely outrageous for any belief to be considered truth.

Truth is the first casualty in conflict, in war. Truth is knowledge we are glad for when it serves our future, regret when it hurts, and glad again if it is for the greater good that we know it. Truth are descriptions that you find when you discover those descriptions you believed were false. Truth is when faith is one step ahead of knowledge; expecting the realization of my own unknowingness.

I don't believe that there's such a thing as truth because we never know that we're "right." Different people see things differently, interpert things differently. Even what we call "fact," isn't necessarily "true."
There's only what we choose to believe.
