I'm going to bed now............so we'll cut to the chase instead of all this poncing around.
Yank metal bands........some OK, mostly spandex-clad ponces.
You want real metal - it has to be British and look at who wrote the best riffs ever (Paranoid and Smoke on the Water).
So it comes down to two bands - Sabbath and Purple. Two guitarists - Iommi and Blackmore. Two frontmen - Ozzy and Gillan.
As to who is the best out of these two - who gives a rat's a*r*s*e. They're both brilliant.
