I pick Kobe for many different reasons.

1) Kobe has the chance to have a 81 point game, I realy don't think that Shaq can get more than 40 if he gets lucky.

2) Kobe can really lead his team in the final minutes. He can make 3's if necessary, drive to the net, and make sweet dunks and shots that get the crowd pumped (I think Shaq can do the dunks and get the crowd pumped, but I think that Kobe is better in the final minutes)

3) In the Finals, the computer even said that the Heat would be better if they played 'Zo instead of Shaq. There is no way you could take Kobe off the Lakers last year and they would be almost as good.

4) Kobe can spread the field. He's still in his prime while Shaq is on the beginning of the curve from his prime/peak.

5) Kobe could have/maybe even should have been mvp last year, there is no way Shaq could come close to that.

Overall, Kobe. but if you take a look at it.. would the Lakers of won 3 titles if it wasnt for Kobe on their team? or Shaq. either way.. Those 2 needed to be in the Lineup. They helped each other. But if your comparing them for overall skill and game level. You would have to go with Kobe. Has way more skill in scoring. And Shaq on the other hand.. Is too old and needs Help from other players. Put shaq with a bad team. and you Wont see him scoring more then 20 points per game. Kobe is better.

Kobe! come on. Shaq just has a huge, wide body and is a 7-foot-1 basketball player. But KOBE....KOBE! he is a great NBA player. He just proved it last season, averaging 35 points a game, and scoring 81 points against the Raptors.Yes, Shaq was one of the most dominant centers in the NBA, but hey, when you stand 7-foot-1, and weigh more than 300 pounds, you would just need to stretch your hand to put the ball in the ring. While KOBE, can shoot midrange jumpers, do flashy dunks, steal the ball , throw up game winning 3's , block shots, and just this season, pass the ball around, and create plays for his teammates without forcing anything. Number "24", next to Jordan.

Kobe works hard.
Kobe can score tons of points
Kobe can shoot three's
Kobe is clutch
Kobe wins games

But Shaq gives you rings

So unless Kobe gets one without Shaq. It's Shaq.

im a big kobe fan and hate shaq because he stole one mvp title. but i give it to shaq he is huge guys who can dominate and run all over anybody except when he played against the old new york with marcus camby and kurt thomas but damage everybody else.
