It really depends on which colleges you are applying to, some take both, most take one or the other. The college I went to required the ACT, and I liked that because the ACT was easier to me. They had the same stuff on them, but the questions on the ACT made more sense to me resulting in a higher score on the ACT...Good luck! :)

i don't know why everyone has the perception that the ACT is easier, if your going to do engineering, medical, or business you should go with the ACT because the math is harder and it has a science part which if your looking at any of these fields you must have a great deal of skill in, anything else (ie: liberal arts) go with the SAT because your going to be tested more in ENG and vocab , although the math part is much easier . Fyi i got a 28 composite on the ACT and a 2050 on the SAT

Depends on your strengths - on the ACT I scored average (25) on the SAT I was above (almost 1200). I think the ACT had more science/social studies which were not my strengths. Its been too long since I took them to tell you for sure, but I am better with math and English, so I assume the SAT focused mainly on those subjects.

I took both and personally I think the ACT is easier than the SAT because the SAT is mostly and IQ test and the ACT is mostly academic.

They're both pretty similar when it comes to math, but the ACT has a lot of sections that are ridiculously easy, like grammar and reading comprehension. For the SAT, you need to know vocabulary, which is far harder to study for.

More colleges and universities factor SAT scores into the application process than ACT scores.

they are both good but the SAT is the test that you would take to go to a colloge out of state and the ACT is the test you would take for a college in state

loads of the prep books you will locate would be very lots the comparable. what's actual going to make a distinction is the technique in which you study. initiate early, and evaluation many times. The ACT and the SAT are the two no longer basic checks with a somewhat strict time cut back. the terrific factor you're able to do is evaluation many times, take loads of prepare checks, and artwork interior the time cut back. check out the object for extra info.
