hey ya'll... i really need ur help on this... ok.. i luv fashion i mean i like coming up w/ new designes for dresses and tops...i even made a pritty top, a pijama, n a tiny skirt... the thing is... my parents think it's not a good career.. i think so too.. it's really hard to find a job in that feild...they want me to do day care... like my sister... she's doing licenced day care... gets payed alot.. but all my friends think i should go as a fashion designer.. i donno what to choose..
i even have this sketch book.. whenever i feel so bored i start sketching girls outfits.. most of them r my own designes.. some r from what i seen on TV..... my friends seen them even my sister.. they all think i'm really good... but i feel as if i'm not that good at fashion... yet i luv sketching designes that comes to my mind..... i'm sooo confused... wat do i do...
should i take my parents advise andgo for day care or take my friends advise n go for designer ?...

Ultimately, you're going to be the one living with your choices for the rest of your life. Are you really going to be happy taking care of other peoples children for 8-12 hours a day for the rest of your life?
Wouldn't you rather do something you loved that allowed you to use the immense creativity that you have at your disposal? I think that you need to listen to what you gut is telling you about this situation. Your mom and dad have your best interests at heart, but you're the one who is going to have to live with your choices.
If you want to pursue fashion design as a career, I'm sure that you could find a very good position somewhere in the field. Art Institute Online and Academy of Art offer degree programs in Fashion Design.

You should take your own advice and do what is your passion. I have a Child Development degree and worked in a Child Development center for years - the money is NOT great, but it was my passion. I was not able to support myself, and luckily, I did find a career in which I am very happy with - programming.
Most colleges have Design as a major. Check them out.

You should do some soul searching and take your own advise and do what makes you happiest after all what ever career you choose you will have to live with it try out your passion first you just might be surprised!!!

hey i iam trying to get in designing to so i think you should go with your friends advice amd at least try it since you seem to spend your free time sketching.

that's your desicion do you what you love. Do some reasearch, then look at the bad and good sides of each. Choosing a carrear is a serious thing.
