For computer savvys only I suppose, especially if you know what i'm talking about.

If i plug in a "line in" cable in a mp3 player and attach the other side to my laptop while a song is playing. Will the mp3 player record it? && do i have to get a special line in cable? or is all of them pretty standard?

Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Most mp3 players do not offer a line in input. For many of the players the only way to get your songs onto the player is to use a docking station or USB interface. Players by their nature do not record anything. Your computer can record any source attached to its line in input and encode it as an mp3 or wma file. Then you can transfer it to your player using the above mentioned methods. For instance you can put a CD into your computer and 'rip' it then transfer the ripped songs to your player. Hope this helps.

There are many programs available. Most of them you must pay for.
