i have a glass shower door that swings in and outwards like a regular door. when in a closed position, it always had perfect fit/postion. in the last few weeks, it now doesnt completely close/fit properly. like the door is too wide for the opening? nothing seems to be loose, cracked, warped, bent, etc. no event of damage believe to have occured

I agree with the other answer of checking the vinyl bushings. You could also check at both pivot points to see if there is an adjustment screw. Or a screw that can be loosened to re-align the door again. There are many brands and styles of shower doors out there. Being able to give correct advice for your particular model may be difficult. I would read all answers and check what each person says as it applies to your particular door. Eventually, you'll find the right combination and be back in business. Good Luck.

Check to see if the door has a nylon bushing at the bottom of the door. This bushing would be located where the door is attached to the bottom plate. If the bushing is worn out or missing this could be the cause of your problem.....Good Luck!
