Why not? In America, we call our domestic baseball championship series (ok there is one Canadian team) the "World Series."

The foreign internationals do not change anything, the Football play is still English, fast pace and run and gun soccer. It will always stand out from other leagues like in Italy or Germany. English soccer is still the most entertaining value. I am not even English and I am saying this! You don't need an Italian to make good Italian food.
So yes, to answer your question the Premiership does have the right to be called the English Premiership.

Asia has embraced the EPL more than any other league in the world - it is a household word for millions in countries where EPL games are beamed "live" every weekend. Let's face it the EPL is a global property now, it's never going back to being "more english" - there will be always be another abramovich or another sheikh ready to buy out english clubs. Calling it IPL wouldn't be far-fetched but somehow the original sounds more appealing - that's where the value lies.

It should be called FPL=Foreigners (mostly) Premier League. Who gave them that sense of honour that they're the best because they have majority of the teams in the final round of the EPL. If it is so good, why isn't England in Euro 2008. Shouldn't the EPL be used to groom young English players? You hardly ever find exceptional talents in England, that are from England.
