The Genesis blueprint of the Ark detailed the structure as 6:1 length to width ratio (300 cubits by 50 cubits).
It was a wooden ship. God told Noah to "make yourself an ark of gopher wood." translated to Cypress, but nobody knows for sure as translators disagree.
