Are you talking about canker sores? Yes, they're common, and yes, they're painful. The best way to get rid of one is rinse your mouth with cool water, pat the area dry and apply vitamin E oil to it. Then you can't eat, drink or talk for a while. Easiest to do at night, but do as many times during the day as possible.

I had a bout with cankers sores/mouth ulcers earlier this year for several months. It was extremely painful as I was in a constant nagging pain and was unable to eat for days at a time. After much research I finally concluded that the whitening toothpaste I was using was the cause of it. Most things like that and tooth whiteners contain SLS. Not sure what that stands for but that was a main ingredient in the toothpaste and many other for that matter. I discontinued use of it and got better over time. Anbesol and ora-gel do help for a while but they sting upon application. Try not to eat while talking and avoid chewing gum also. Best to you.

YES.

The best medicine is folic acid. If you are from India, then try taking Geriforte from Himalaya Herbal Heathcare, which is safe and taking two tabs will give you a cure. In allopathy, you can take Asitamine Forte.

Another remedy for that is rinse wih salt water several times a day. Also, since I've been rinsing with Listerine ofr 1 minute every morning, I haven't had one, and I did get them fairly often.

They are a sign you are trying to get sick or get over something. I get them occasionally.

Use Hydrogen peroxide as a mouth wash and
they will heal up quickly. They do hurt like heck.

Happy Holidays.
