Invite her out to do something.... a movie or whatever. Hang out with her and find things to keep busy and have fun. That will take her mind off it.... or it will relax her enough so she can dump it on you and get it off her chest. Be a good friend and listen.
Best Wishes,
Sue

Side with your friend. Let her cry on your shoulder. When she needs to talk, listen and show you understand. The key is to understand and respect her feelings. Tell her ripcurlgirl1410 said this:
Your life is not over. Love is everywhere! At least try to forget this never happened. Do things you enjoy and try to keep your mind off him. This doesnt however mean avoid him. If you are not used to seeing him and you run into him, you might break down. But if you see him alot, you will get used to it and feel just fine! Good luck!
I am sure you are a great friend by being concerned about your bff. I hope it works out well!

Be a very good listener not an advice giver no two couples are the same and you never really know all the details what works for some does not work for others the best thing a real friend can do is be a good listener

Spend time with her, listen without judging, encourage her to get out and do things that will help take her mind off of it, eat some chocolate, don't encourage her to jump right back into another relationship or a mindless fling as this will oftentimes just make things worse and further lower self-esteem. Encourage her to get out and make the most of herself as an individual, forget this other person who obviously doesn't recognize and/or appreciate that. Most importantly, be supportive but take care of yourself too.

Cheer her up with a little Girls Night Out. Have a sleepover, pamper yourselves, and go to the mall. She will eventually be over him, just be there for her. Call her, Text her, give her advice form your heart and mind. Good luck Girl!
