My very good friend needed help and i loaned him $140 dollars to pay on his car so he wouldnt lose it...he payed me 60 of it about two weeks ago. That is all he has payed me...since then he has went from one job to another and got his cell phone shut off. I really need him to pay me the rest because now i am really needing the money. But i feel really bad for asking him every week. What should i do?

I didnt need the money when i loaned it to him but because my husbands check was short i need it now. And its like pulling teeth to even get in touch with him. I mean he just started a new job but i have heard from other friends that he has had money for beer and everything and i dont know what to do now.

it was very kind of you to help him. im sure he really appreciated it. hopefully he could get a job and repay you.it sounds like he is very unsettled. what is up with him going from one job to the next?is he on drugs? for someone to be that way sounds like he has a big problem.i would ask him if there is anything wrong, and why are you running from job to job.tell him you know that he is having difficulties and that you loaned the money to him in good faith, but when he is more settled that you would like to be reimbursed. i would set him down and ask him what is wrong.

Don't lend him any more money. Ask him for the money and if he doens't have it just go about your own business and whenever you see him again ask him again. Utimately he will pay you back or he will lose you as a friend. Never loan money that you will need. Hire someone to break his knee caps. Just kidding!

LIFE LESSON # 1 never loan money that you need. if you did not get something in writing saying he was going to pay it back mark it up to a hard life lesson and move on.

but dont feel bad about asking him to pay what he owes no matter how many jobs he goes thru. you might get lucky and he really pays you back.

You have to explain him that you need the money. It once happened to me and I asked him for the money, because I needed it badly. Of course, he got upset but he understood. Friends are for good and bad things but they have to know that we also need them to retribute.
