Anime Expo is one of many anime conventions. Conventions are events that can last from a day to more than a week (but int he case of anime cons are generally over weekends). A lot of fans of the subject get together. At anime conventions, people tend to dress as characters from anime(Japanese animation), manga (Japanese comics), or video games, which is a practice called cosplay. Some cons are really small, but Anime Expo is the biggest in the US. It runs for 4 days every year, usually in Anaheim, CA. This year it's going to be in Long Beach, CA, however. Most people attending stay in a hotel connected to the con, whihc is generally in that hotel's ballrooms as well as a local convention center.

Basically, it's a different world once you get into a con. A lot of simple cosial rules (like don't hug people you don't know) don't apply, people are dressed oddly, and evberything is loud, colourful, and rambunctious. I don't reccomend attending on if you can't handle vast amounts of geeks and weirdness, but I personally adore cons.

An anime convention where people go to have fun if they like anime. It's I think in LA, mostly, but I'm not sure, cause I'm not allowed to, I don't have transportation. But yeah, unless you're an anime fan, you'll be stepping in on Jupiter, cause that place is all about anime. Sorry, don't know about it THAT much, just heard from fellow anime fans. -^_^-

Its basically where people dress up as anime characters. yeah its an expo with that, and think of it like super starwar fans meeting but worse... b/c these people are speaking elf and acting like anime!!

When people dress up as anime chracters and look at anime. THey had that in Viriginia one time. It was kind of odd because one of these guys looked so real.
