There is absolutely no way anyone can prove or disprove god's existence. This sentence could be simplified to, " No one can prove whether god exists" because to disprove god's existence would be to prove god's nonexistence.
Now, one cannot deny the existence of ideas. Your reading of this page proves it. Trying to think of how ideas don't exist is also thinking, which uses ideas, and therefore, the thought that ideas don't exist is nonsense (credit to Descartes). The world must unanimously agree that ideas exist.
A proof of such validity does not exist in regards to the existence of God, obviously so, or you wouldn't be asking yourself this question. If a proof of such validity did exist, I would hope one would not keep it to themselves.
One could say that since you exist, you needed a cause to exist, therefore you, and everything else, have been created. By the same logic, god would have needed a creator. So to believe in god (from this proof of his existence being unprovable by cause and affect) you would have to reject belief in cause and affect. (which is also disputed by philosophy).
However, god by definition can do absolutely anything, which implies even things that defy logic, so god will continually elude a sure logical proof.
Hence comes the idea of faith. One must decide, outside of logic, whether god exists or not.
