We have been friends for 3 years. I was never really "popular" more like a class nerd. Anyways, this year I have had more friends than the two I've previously had. Well, I appreciate my ALL my friends and am always there for them when they need me. Anyways, one of the two friends that I've always had, said today that she was noticing that I was getting more popular and that she thought it was embarassing for her, bcuz of the way I talked to people (I told her that it CANT be embarassing..because people wouldnt talk to me if I was weird and plus she isnt my mom to be embarassed of me) well this guy i was talking to (my friend) said that she is jealous and i COMPLETLY AGREE...but I'm scared of her spreading **** about me and tell my new friends that Im not the "greatest" yes, if they are really my friends they wont ditch me...but i still need to make a "rep" with them. So what should I do now??? This girl is ALSO my locker partner!

These friends have never really aprreciated me...they come to me when they need help or something.

Maybe she is jealous but not in the way that you think. Maybe she is jealous of the time that other people spend with you. Maybe she thinks that your new found popularity will make you abandon her and she does not want that. Tell her that you will always be her friend and just assure her. And if she is really your friend then she wont do all that stuff to you unless she feels threatened.

if they are your true friends they will just laugh off what she says, if they are not your friends you are better off without, the girl sounds like trouble. stay away remember fatal attraction.
