i can download powerpoint software for free?

That's very, very bad. Microsoft would track you down and eat you if you downloaded/torrented ppt. Buy Microsoft Office Student and Teacher Edition for $30.

If you just need the reader than you can get that from download.com. If you are trying to create powerpoint presentations, then you need the office suite. Look into peer to peer networks. When you figure that part out, then search of Microsoft office.
