Why don't more people install solar on their roof?

Especially in the Southern US where it is sunny all year round.
I installed solar last year. I paid only $120 in electricity bills for the whole year!

it would be great if they could, but alot of people cannot afford the initail cost of panels, inverters and such. And even moreso, alot do not understand solar power

my mom wanted to do that to this club she owns after the hurricane in new orleans, but they said it would be like $100,000.00 to install

Its expensive to have someone to install it.
