I have to agree with Redd Foxx on this one, he said, "I don't even like that river in Africa with the one "G."

There was a time when it was used by a few of the black comedians and at the time, it was considered "funny" even to other blacks. But this was used in context so as to be humorous and not in a derogatory fashion.

It may have lost it's usefulness as a comedian's tool over the past few months and maybe will be gone the way of the slapstick.

Frankly, I don't think it adds anything to the monologue in today's comedy. Whatever good there might have been when it was originally started kind of lost it's allure when the "politically correct" sheriffs began raising cane.

Doesn't bother me. Ask the black comedians. Ask Carlos Mencia. Ask Carlos why he uses the term "wetb*cks" when referring to his own people It sure doesn't bother me when a Michael Richards does it either.

I think those in the public eye should steer clear of any kind of derogatory language whether it's racist or sexist. For someone famous to use these hurtful words only keeps them going.

Black people have been using that word for years in every day life and its never really offended anyone but it is offensive when the white man uses it, its a nasty word to be used by anyone but i think white people should not ever say it especially in public.

as long as u know they rnt being racist... like ive seen white comedians doing a reanactment say like wassup ni**a etc. which could turn out to be funny and stuff but like if they were doing something and say it like i was walking by these N***ers or something like that. not cool.

I think they are just proving how ignorant and stupid they are. It doesn't make me think any less of dark skinned people but it does make me think less of the person who says it. It is the same any time I hear any body bad mouth some one else. It never makes me think less highly of the person being talked about but it does cause me to think less highly of the one doing the blabbing.

Not much..usually they're black. I don't like to listen to them, because usually they're trying to make fun of all races as if it's cool and they're so PC. I'd prefer comedy about most real life, but race has no humor for me. I like jokes about hot pockets and silly stuff like that that most people can relate to.
