Left Handed Dominant Or Recessive

2016-11-01 07:36:50 · answer #2 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

It's not as simple as it looks. The genetics of handedness is not fully
understood. It's not as simple as right-dominant/left-recessive. There are
theories involving several genes combining to produce the handedness trait,
but the genes responsible have not been identified.

The right-handed trait is dominant while left-hand is recessive. But this trait does not completely control which hand you use. I myself was born with the left-handed trait. Early on, I began writing with my left hand but eventually switched to my right hand in elementary. Also another kid I remember was born with the right-hand dominant trait. He broke his right wrist and began to write with his left hand. My theory is that this trait has no control over which hand you use. The major use of either right or left hand rests completely in you.

Dominant. FYI, more alleles and different factors cause this trait. It is apparently not as facile a concept as many perceive it to be.

niether if your right handed then the right hand is your dominant hand and your left hand is your recessive hand if your left handed the left hand is dominant and the right is recessive.
