My man would have me in stockings and a garter belt with heels 24/7 if he could. And he gets his wish most of the time especially in the winter. I wear them to work, and loose the heels at home, but keep the stockings until bath time when I have to shave my legs and cream them so they stay smooth and soft so I won't rum my expensive nylons.

My hubby likes very sheer stockings, heels and a garter belt. I like wearing stockings better with a garter belt too. They look and feel better, and you can get more sheer ones than you can in the hold ups. They are also great to wear in to work in summer when you don't want to face the thought of pantyhose.

It has always been proper to wear stocking if wearing heels. In fact most people wore stockings with dress shoes in the winter. In the summer for casual wear you can go bare footed with sandals etc. When dressing for an occassion that is more formal it was proper to wear stockings even in hot weather when wearing dress shoes.
