I normally prefer a name that is new/modern, unique and exotic. So i prefer Kaden. Its new, modern and not that well-known. All that make this name more unique and creates curiosity towards the person with this name.
Preston is old yet since it has been used by many over centuries it adds value to this name. It sounds very english too.
Check out the sites below, it tells youhow many uses this name in US alone and what others feel about it and some other stuff which might interest you.

Preston. Kaden is sooooooooo over-used right now. I know at least 6 couples that have named their son Kaden.

I like Kaden better. I like Caden with a C better, personally. I think that Preston is just going to keep growing in popularity since Britney Spears is all over the magazine covers still.
The problem is that the "aden" names are so big right now...Hayden, Brayden, Jaden, Aiden, Caden...
How about Kody? I think it is really cute too. Or, how about Spencer? I think it is an adorable name for a little boy. I also really think Shane is a cute name. I also like Donovan too and Quinn!
Good luck finding the perfect name for you new son! SD

If I were you, I would go with Kaden. It is such a strong name, and Preston is being used with celebrity's baby. NOt a good idea to follow after celebritys! aka Britney Spears' baby boy Preston.
