First off, I think you are in the wrong catagory, second its probley to keep us occipued so we stay on yahoo answers and earn them( the people who made Yahoo Answers ) money.

nothing really...they just determine how much you can participate in yahoo answers on a daily basis, meaning the more points you have, the more questions you can ask and the more answers you can give......
