That's a hard question to answer... trust? Well, you can figure out this in a few different ways.
One, see who has the "best" customer service. Now according to J.D. Power and Associates, T-Mobile has the best customer service in virtually every region.
Two, you can see how many suits have been brought to specific carriers for unfair business practices. I personally hear Cingular getting in a lot of trouble here in California. The most recent are the suit against them for their claim of "least dropped calls" and the second for charging an "upgrade" fee to the customer without properly informing them. Verizon, has also gotten into a few legal issues a year or two ago.
Third, because trust is hard to measure, at the end of the day I would compare all cell phone carriers by looking at what features they have, and what you prefer: In order to do this, you can comare at http://www.cellufinder.com .

I think it depends on where you live and what you are looking for. I have lived in several different states in the southeast and I have tried Verizon, Sprint & Cingular. Sprint was absolutely horrible as far as coverage and Verizon's coverage was good. I had the best experience with coverage and customer service with Cingular. I always have a great signal with Cingular and I love the variety of phones they offer. Cingular's latest phones (which I think they call them 3G) are awesome. There are so many features available ....music, video, etc and fast data speeds. I always get exceptional and professional customer service as well.

Verizon = 15 day return policy
Cingular = 30 day return policy
Cingular all the way. Best phones. Best service.
