I often wonder about the impact he would have on this world if he'd lived longer. He was so intelligent and sincerely wanted the world to be peaceful. He will never be forgotten. When I was a kid I liked Paul but after I grew up I saw the importance of John. We're all better off for his existence.

We had dinner, he threw a copy of amen to the timid by
Johny Mathis in the ocean. We prayed for his son's
quick recovery from the flu, he had a week. He just went to
close the memorial for his father last month. The 25 years
he lived with no dad, did not set well, and he had nothing
to offer the neighborhood. We sang my sweet lord.

Yes, very much on my mind. I still cannot understand why anyone would kill such a gifted man who gave us so much in many ways. It is hard to believe it has been 26 years ago today...

I read your question and it gave me shivers. I remember that day so clearly it is frightening. It makes me stop and think how fleeting life is and how it is the simple things like music and love that are important. Bless him.

I didn't realize it until you mentioned it. I thought it was odd that my local blues station played a lot of his songs today.
