the only reason why i ask if its ok to name my boy arron, being the same name as my ex, was because we did spend 4 years together, and i dont want people to think i am naming my baby after a lover in my past

Yeah, Arron and Aaron are different... plus, you know why you're using the name Arron. Sounds good to me!

I don't see why you can't.
If it will always make you think of that boyfriend, though, you might want to find a different name.
Maybe look at the meanings instead of the letters ... like for example, Ron means "ruler's counselor". The name Arnold has a similar meaning, plus it contains the letters r-o-n, and it starts with the letters a-r, like Arthur. You might not like Arnold, but there are lots of names you can relate to it that way.
But anyway, yeah you can do that ... as long as it doesn't bother you. If you will always think about that boyfriend it might not be a good idea, but if you will eventually forget that it's related it's fine.
If you want more suggestions ... Andrin also means "ruler", like Ron, and it starts with A, like Arthur. Same thing with Avery. The name Thiery is a little weird, but it IS real (it's French) and means the same but it does start with letters from Arthur as well. Just not the same ones.
To go the other way, Arthur means "bear" or "stone". I think more names mean "stone" so let's go with that first. Mason means "stone worker" and it ends in ON like Ron does. Thurston also fits the same details. As for the other meaning, "bear", you could try Mahon for the meaning, and it also ends in ON.
I am sure I could come up with more. I know those are not the best, but it could work if you play with the meanings and everything. Or maybe I could find something better with the grandfathers' middle names. Email me if you like that approach and I can try to help!

Is your father's name Ronald? If it is, combine them to form Arnold. If you are planning more children you could also save one name for use later on. Arthur this time, Ron next. If not use what your heart tells you to. This is a personal choice and if your man has no problem with using Arron then it's a good choice.

If you are sure you are not just trying to justify naming this child after your ex by saying it's a combo of reletives names than I would ask your husband. If he agrees with the name, who cares what anyone else thinks. BTW, I think its a cute name. Good luck

Why not just name him Arthur Ron .......last name.........
Or .......first name....... Arthur Ron .......last name..........
I have seen some people have 4 names in their name.
Sounds to me like you still have a hang up on your old boyfriend if it makes you think of high school.

I think there is nothing wrong with that at all. Honestly that sounds like a good way to mix it out. Who cares if its your ex bf's name or not.

if you lay all of this out on the table for the father to see and he agrees then yes.
should you both agree on that name then leave the bit about the former bf out from then on.
oh have you ever considered this thing called marriage.
