Well, the older you get, the less fertile you are... they say you are most fertile in your 20's... so that could have something to do with the problems. Not really sure how old you both are... after 40, your chances seem to slim more. I'd go see a doctor, and see what they have to say.
Goodluck! I'd have a dozen children if I could lol... but I feel 20 yrs older just having my one 14 month old right now lol.

Needs a work-up by a fertility specialist. Possibilities: mom is older than when she conceived her other children. Increasing age decreases fertility well in advance of menopause due to a thicker "zone" of cells surrounding the egg when it is released, which is difficult for the sperm to penetrate.
Also, it is possible for the female partner to develop antibodies against her partner's sperm if they have very incompatible tissue types.

you need to see a fertility specialist he will be able to determine who needs treatment or it could be that you're egg and his sperm aren't compatible there are thing's you can do if this is the case , have you heard of sperm washing
