If it's that badly damaged, then I'd suggest you get a new wheel. A wheel that is slightly out of true can be re-centred by slightly adjusting the tension of the spokes opposite and around the place of the indentation. The important word here is slightly. Saying that, it sounds like yours has been "taco-ed". That's unrepairable. I'd suggest you take the bike to your local bike shop (LBS) and get them to advise. They can also check for other things like fork/frame damage - if your fork's bent as well, that will significantly up the repair bill and if your frame's damaged... you're probably better off getting a new bike unless it was VERY expensive (and I mean several $100s). Good luck.

We have rims repaired all the time on our race cars. Check in your yellow pages for automotive wheel repair. If it is a real valuable rim, check in AutoWeek, in the ads in the back. There is a company that will repair almost any rim.

YES, it can be repaired and if done correctly, you won't even be able to tell where the reapair was done. I don't know where you live, I have mine done by a wheel repair shop in Louisiana.

If it's a mag alloy - dump it, else if it's made up of steel, maybe you can get it repaired by hammering it back to shape.

if it is a steel rim, it could be hamered out but not recommended, If it is a mag (or aluminum rim) it is history :(
