If you have cable or satellite with the BBC Channel. Watch it! Or get a CD with a British comedian. Either way, imitate what you hear. And eventually, you'll start to sound like a chap who enjoys a good game of cricket and you may even have a smidging craving for some crumpets.

listen to a lot of English people speaking and try and copy them. If you know any English people get them to listen to you and see how close you are. Be careful though. The "English" accent actually varies quite a lot depending on which part of the country. Somebody from the south of England or the midlands is likely to have an accent which is easier to understand. If you don't know any try watching English films or listening to BBC world service (though you will hear a variety of accents on there)

Watch British movies and try to imitate the way people talk. Just pay attention when they pronounce things differently, and think about how they do it, then try to do it yourself.
