A member of my writing group is currently writing a book about a German POW (not a Natzi) captured in Paris and imprissoned in California. Every day he stares out his window at a distant ranch house, drawn to it for no apparent reason. Then one day, he and several other prisners are detailed to work at this ranch, and the protagonist falls head over heels in love with the ranch owner's beautiful daughter, who is half-Anglo and half-Mexican. The biggest conflict is one of her brothers died during the invasion of Normandy and the other one is still fighting in Europe.

Just off the top of your head, what would be a good working title for this book. BTW, the protagonist's name is Fritz, and the girl of his dreams is Sarah.

Depends on what the main focas is... the dude's relationship, his imprisionment or her brothers death. Maybe he should use a German word for the title?
