Winter of 85' it snowed 13 inches and closed the entire city operations for an entire day. No one could go anywhere because we were not prepared for snow of this multitude. In 2004, it was too cold to snow in San Antonio, but it snowed in Victoria, Texas leaving another 14 inches. It snows in the Hill Country every year, but not enough to leave a large mark like in the North. Because of the beginning of El Nino, we are supposed to have the coldest winter on record.

The best that I remember was the winter of '85. It really was bad. Now in '72 ice fell all night then it snowed about 3 inches in the morning. That was the most trecherous yet. It is snowing now 5:45 P.M> in Victoria and Goliad.
