I would say senior citizens, followed by teenagers, then mid-life crisis adults.

Adults usually have the financial means to get out of their mid-life crisis. They have the most freedoms out of the two other groups.
Teenagers think they have it hard because of the lack of trust the general public has in them. But everyone grows up, and out of that awkward teenager status. They still have time to learn, grow, and experience the world.

But senior citizens have it rough! They are constantly made fun of in the media. The privileges they once had are taken away (like driving) by no fault of their own. Some are shoved aside by the society that they once loved and forced into homes were their independence can be restricted. Money can be tight and illness is a daily pain.

Teens represent that restless period when everything is confusing and adulthood is either a far away dream or a nightmare hoovering close by.

Mid-life crisis adults represent the time when you realize that the sun is going to set at some point and there's nothing you can do about it.

Senior citizens sometimes see no point in their existence, but by that time, most of them are already comfortable with their role and purpose.

I'd say every situation has its own disadvantages and they all seem horrible when you actually live them, but for me the mid life adult crisis 'adepts' are going through the hardest situations because the realization is the hardest part.

I say teens, mostly because we lack experience. If you're middle aged, and in a mid life crisis, then at least you know what your options are; your taken seriously when your that age. I'd say that senior citizens is a close second, because they lack the physical ablity to do a lot of things.
Of course, everyone thinks that they have it worst, simply because that's what they're going through right now.
