Nope - it's the flipside of the pro-choie argument - if a woman has the right to decide what happens to her body when she's pregnant, she has the right to decide what happens to it when she's not too.
And how do you enforce such a law? Well, you'd be able to do that by upping the bureaucracy quotient - full investigation of circumstances, leading to an unappealable decision. You'd have to re-apply in the event of a change in circumstances - eg if you suddenly "found" heterosexuality or got a male. It'd be the thin end of a very dangerous wedge of legislation and I'd be out on the streets with banners way before it got passed, but the state will always find a way to enforce its laws, even if they're morally dubious.

I don't think it should be illegal for insemination BUT I do think that when a person does choose this route to become pregnant with a man's child they should be required to waive any right to requiring the biological father to pay for such child. It has been done...

I say good luck passing that law, it will never fly. Gay people are humans just like everyone else. Now I don't think illegals should get artificially inseminated, but that is another can of worms.

No, it should not be illegal. Any woman who chooses to have a child through insemination should be allowed that right, even lesbians. Denying them the right to be mothers only because of their sexual status is wrong.

Absolutely not. This is America, not China. If a woman wants to be artifically inseminated then she should be able to do so. Also, if someone goes through the difficult road of insemintation this person is serious about wanting a child and wanting to be a parent.

I would think such a law could not be possible - the question is chilling.

I dont feel it would be right to keep a child from even having one parent because if there is love there the child would be fine , there are children out there that dont even get noticed by two parents To me if someone wanted to do this they must have a lot of love to give .

Not unless they make it illegal for mothers and fathers to divorce or separate. This is the most private of all decisions: when and whether to have children. As a country, we can't and should not, legislate that personal act.
