Let the sunnis and shiites slaughter each other.Who cares? They are only Muslims and if they fight with each other it keeps them from putting their time towards what us westerners are up to. And the OIL will still be pumping to us westerners.

Rumsfeld, Ashcroft and Cheney were the EXACT SAME PEOPLE behind the cold war rhetoric and military industrial complex 3-4 decades ago. HELLO!

Ummmmmmm Cheney was head of Halliburton (google it). Halliburton has no bid contracts to rebuild Iraq and feed American troops. HELLO! Can you say MONEY?

And, psssst, don't count on the oil. The people who are fighting are not getting a share of the oil money and they don't give a rat's rear about it.

Inform yourself. Then get out and make some noise. Be politically active while you still have the freedom to do that.

Oh and BUSH lost the WAR. We have been in Iraq longer than we were in World War 2!!!!!

Wake up world.

The point was not to create a civil war: officially the reason for invading Iraq was to prevent Saddam using weapons of mass destruction (which everybody knew he didn't have) against the US. Some in the US (Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bolton, Wolfowitz, pretty much everybody on Fox News Channel) also wanted to remove Saddam Hussein and replace him with a puppet (to that extent they've been successful). The third reason was to get Western hands (mainly American) on Iraq's oil reserves.

As for your comments about Muslims they are just stupid, childish, ignorant, offensive and moronic - pretty much like you I would guess!

Fraid not. It was always the British Empire policy to create a nation out of disparate groups and tribes. Iraq ia a modern institution. With the large nations of Iran and Turkey each side, the idea (I think) was not to let their neighbours encroach. So, it meant a strong army state under the Ba'th Party. I cannot understand any strategic, ethicial, practical reasons why the invasion took place. Economic ones were dodgy too.

The people responsible for putting us there are not done with the give back part of politics. By this I mean all of the corporations that they owe favors to have been awarded rich civilian contracts over there and more need to be handed out.

What went wrong out there is beyond the control of living human kind in planet of apes.
In playing football our creator needs a referee out there too to see there's no foul play with the blunders and slip-ups with human errors out there in planet of apes.

The whole point was to avoid a civil war, and save lives.

You have got to be kidding me. That is the most ridiculous, self-centered, utterly ridiculous comment I've ever heard. Go back underneath your rock.

if we withdraw before the job is finished, things will get out of control in Iraq, as if they are under control now,
