this is an imprecise tax that could desire to have been bumped off before. there is not any rationalization for it; it fee plenty to convey mutually and is a perplexed and inequitable tax. BBC are basically addicted to the money. Republic of eire has television licence too. With merchandising, there is not any desire for a tax. If the BBC can not perform interior the unfastened marketplace, it would be closed down or merged/aquired via yet another media corporation.

Definitely. TV is rubbish these days. No one actually made the suggestion to the BBC of an online survey to see how many of us would want the fee abolished - probably cos they know we'd all say YES!!! If we all stopped paying, I think they'd get the message.

If you have to pay the government money, it's a tax. The BBC license fee is a TV tax, and a very unfair one. I find it amazing that despite its THREE BILLION POUND annual budget, it produces (with a handful of exceptions) hour after hour of rubbish.

NO!!!! The licence fee pays for so much more than just tv. I know they're making some crap programs but jesus, look at Planet Earth and Blue Planet. I'd pay my fee for that alone. And I know I'm only 28 but I'd be fairly lost without radio 4...

Good plan, I think it should be pay per view like sky. You want it you pay the bill! Simple.

In our house we rarely watch anything that is on BBC, yet we have to pay a fortune for it!

Pay per view would be the way to go!!

yes, and we should put together and sign an online petition for the licence fee to be axed that can be e-mailed to the bbc. as tv these days is complete and utter rubbish.

I totaly agree. Most of the channels in my package...I don't like & I wont watch. So it's a waste. There are channels in the other packages that I'd like....But I dont want to end up paying 2x more for other channels.

There should be a package for people that only want certain channels

Yes, I think so. I rarely watch BBC1,2,ITV or Ch 4 as I have Sky, but all channels have so many repeats and unless you really like the show and watch the repeats adnauseum, you are paying twice and life is expensive enough.

I don't think we should pay for TV at all why don't the BBC show adverts like STV here in Scotland and make money from that. BBC advertise their own products like Radio Times etc. so i don't see why they cant advertise other products.
