The freedom to walk into your office and go to work without an aircraft parking on your desk. The freedom to drink water without worrying if it has a bio agent in it. Don't think for a damn moment that Saddam or some other mutant would not have taken advantage of the 9/11 situation. He is an opportunist as are a great many zealots that think the American Idolaters should die.
You want to cry about some freedoms you've lost?
Try crying over those lost in the towers and the soldiers lost trying to keep the zealots off our soil.
I think Bush is the biggest liar that America ever spawned. But we are in it now and it's time to stop whining and become a part of the answer!

I speak as a former soldier in the U.S. Army and the only thing I was protecting in Iraq was my own ***. If the war in Iraq is protecting anything here at home, its probably the conservatives ability to say that there has been no further attacks on American soil.

It allowed us the "freedom" to carry out a "..unilateral first strike without the support of the United Nations or even the countries of the region."

The war in Iraq was to prevent Saddam from linking more closely with Al Quiada and sharing his weapons and wealth with them for the purpose of Killing Americans. The war brought most of those who would kill us to Iraq. They are there fighting for their life instead of killing us in our own back yards. This is just a start in this much larger war. We are about to engage radical Muslims all over the world. Iran is building a nuclear weapon and when it is complete they intend to use it on Israel to bring about the coming of their Messiah. Muslims have always hated others but this whole war will be blamed on Bush by the simple minded Bush haters in our own country who will see America gone before they stand and fight.

Every war is not fought to protect our freedoms.
Do we not have the right to protect our own interest like every other country in the world?
Are you not old enough to remember Saddam standing on his balcony yelling "Death to America"? While firing his riffle?.
He was becoming a hero to Islam for defying America.-- Many Muslims were beginning to see him as the one who could unite them in a holy war against America and all their interests. They also believed he had the w.m.d.s they craved, to use against the U.S.
Bush was right to strike first, and I think it was a great strategy to bring the fighting to the middle east ; instead of facing them here w/ our women, children , and elderly caught in the cross-fire.

It isn't protecting anything that wasn't already in force. The war in Iraq is a miscarriage of justice and should never have been. All this money spent and look what a mess they are in, look what a mess we're in. Bush has been the worst disaster that has ever put himself in office. I knew him while he was Governor of Texas the books when he took over were in the black, when he left broke so far in the red. He isn't a person that should ever run any country or state.

This war and any war is fought on the principles and laws contained within our constitution. Freedom of speech for example,... which allows morons like you, Southbaymax, to express his stupid questions without fear of being arrested and shot!
If you're dissatisfied with our government, why don't you move to a nice communist country?
