Why do liberals think all Republicans are deeply religious and gung-ho about church values?

I happen to be an agnostic Republican who thinks organized religion is insane/corrupt and everytime I get accused of being a religious nut case by a liberal I just what to rip their arm off and shuve it up there pompous ***.

Because they assume that because they are deeply committed to terrorism and Jerry Springer that Republicans must be deeply committed to something, so they chose religion.

Obvious all Repub's are not. The religious game of politics is a shame at least. The idea to force politics upon religion is not what makes God happy if you choose to accept my wording. I choose to believe in God, but that's my personal choice you may have your own and we can still be human beings to each other and accept each others privacy.

Well, It because a lot of Republican officials use religion to motivate their base, so Liberals assume that all Republicans are part of this base.

I am like you, to the right simply because it is the correct position to be, nothing to do with religion.

I think they have this conception for a couple of reasons,

A - Religious people tend to be out spoken.

B - Because they have no morals and can not conceive of anyone having them without the "fear of God."
