Possible Solution?

Possible, yes. Probable and practical - no.

A complete and near impenetrable fence along both of our borders is nigh on impossible. The funding alone would put this country in even more debt that it already is.

Drafting will not solve the problem overseas. The people of Iraq (mainly Suuni) do not want the Shiites to be in control. The Shiites are not the majority in Iraq, and hence should not have control. We as a nation need to support our Allies, but we also need to leave this up to the UN - that is what their job is as a peace-keeping and mediating governing body. By forcing our 18-32 year olds into conscriptment is not going to give anyone the solution and freedom that they deserve.

I don't believe that a larger Border Fence would do any good The ones that we have now that were built by the National Guards of California, Arizona and New Mexico haven't worked. As soon as they were built the coyotes were digging under it and people still come into this country illegally.

Also history shows that a Border Fence of the style that congress has planned won't work. The Communist's built one like it between Eastern And Western Europe and people still got past it. Only Hadrian's Wall in Britain. was a good border fence and it took an Army to man the forts and outposts at just 70 miles in length. At 7000 miles that style would be cost prohibitive in both Treasure and manpower
I support a comprehensive solution and speeding up of the Visa process.

The draft No I don't think that we have need of a draft at this time. But if we take on anymore long term commitment we will need one to bring our military to size. Volunteers make better solders then draftees unless in an emergency such as WWII.

Border fencing is an absolute necessity. The draft should only be implemented in case of emergency.

doubtful, only to a repard,a fence would only cause more problems and divide our country even more.It would be like canada building a fence so U.S citizens couldnt get through to their country that has diverse opportunities. Why didnt bush do anything about illegal immigration while he was governor of texas. He must not have done his job there either.Him and his buddies were probly the ones selling the illegals throughout the states.
