The side of a Toblerone chocolate bar box is an example of an isosceles triangle. One of those triangular pastries can be a scalene triangle. Their sides are not all perfectly the same length.

A good example of an isoceles triangle would be the roof of a house (when viewed from the side) assuming the roof is the same length on both sides (most are).

Scalene is a bit more difficult as they usually are formed by non-static items, but a decent example would be the triangle formed by leaning a straight object, such as a ladder, against a wall.

Hope this helps! :)

isosceles example would be hitting a cue ball so it bounces off a side, comes back and hits another ball dead on. obviously the angle of incidence = angle of reflection.

Scalene example would be a spider's web, or a worker placing a ladder against a building because the angles would never match (well, almost never)
